Anthony’s Framing Service Stall is a third up the Wednesday Market , close to The Town Hall. When I first started painting his stall, I thought he was just offering a Framing Service, I hadn’t realised that he’d taken all the framed photographs himself!!! Suddenly each photograph was important and It slowed my painting right down. Morrisons meat counter: with Mark serving and also in the background teaching an apprentice. The units surround the counter are in grey, which creates some wonderful colours. There was only one place I could stand between the freestanding counters, so you just have to take a risk with the angles. I love it, it’s such a brilliant place to paint. This is a week late, as I’ve been in Scotland with my lovely Aunty Wendy…but my son Ben ( Hanbury) has won a BAFTA… !!!! How amazing is that!!! Very, very thrilled for him and HUGE DESIGNS with Tamsin McGee, Hugo Moss and Paul Mc Donnell for their Title to WILDERNESS commissioned for Firebird, music by Taylor Swift.
