Travelling on the Overground to Heatherleys equalled 30 minutes drawing time. The Moleskin Japanese Sketchbooks are brilliant. You can catch a traveller in one journey on a page, but the folded pages over a term give a wonderful ongoing narrative.
Heatherley’s Sketchbooks
At Heatherleys, my fellow students were resigned and very gracious to me drawing them at any break. The best moments were always in class, catching a teacher watching a student, when I should have been painting myself!
